What is the YourSpec Automotive Wiring Wiki (AWW)?
The YourSpec Automotive Wiring Wiki is a growing publicly editable repository for information relating to automotive wiring. Currently, it specifically focuses on connector information such as pinouts, connector and contact part numbers, connector assembly information, etc.
One of our goals at YourSpec is to make building high quality wiring harnesses more accessible and affordable. From firsthand experience, we know that finding relevant information on mating connector and contact part numbers can be very difficult. We wanted to create an open repository where we could share the knowledge we have gained and allow others the opportunity to do the same as well.
How do I use the YourSpec AWW?
If you are looking to find connector and contact information, you have a couple options. The first is to use the search bar at the top of the page. You can search for any relevant information starting with the most specific and working your way backwards. We strive to category and tag pages with as many relevant names and groupings as possible.
If you are not sure what to search, you can browse the category list to see if there are any relevant categories.
Can I contribute to the YourSpec AWW?
Of course! By creating a YourSpec account, you can create and edit pages as you see fit. Any and all high quality contributions are welcome. Even if you do not have enough information to fully populate or create a page sharing what you know can be helpful. We regularly review and standardize formatting on pages in this Wiki, so no need to worry if you do not have the desire to or struggle with formatting.
